Looking to put an inline temp gauge on 2020 raptor and some of the gauges researched say 7/8” and some 3/4. Anybody know the size?
Fan doesn’t seem to kick on very often and I’m worried about overheat!
Thanks![emoji16][emoji631]

3/4"
MrCuervoRacing makes an early-on fan thermostat, turns fan on at 200 degrees f, and mounts in the upper hose.
I have one and it works very well.
The fan should not be coming on that often as long as you're moving, unless it's a very hot day.
I have an inline cooler in the lower coolant hose, Engine Ice coolant, Spal fan(440cfm), Mishimoto radiator(30% larger), air scoops, Vapor dash with 2 temperature lights, and a bigger aluminum oil tank that holds another quart.
These are all the mods you can do to the cooling system, but they work great.
My Vapor dash has memory, and the hottest my 700 has been is 217f, ideling after riding hard on a mid 80's high humidity day, I watched it move up slowly from 211f when I stopped.
Pretty big improvement considering the stock fan doesn't turn on until 225...and
I didn't even have the oversize radiator then.
The cooler it runs, the longer it'll live.

Thanks @ sixpack577, I bought two of the 2020 raptors about a month ago and have noticed my sons bike seems too run the fan a lot more than mine does. Neither one of us has ever had the heat light come on, but just seems odd.
I’ve seen the early fan on assembly from Mrcuervo, and thinking on that, it looks like a great product. Only thing is, now everything I buy is x2! [emoji16]
Was thinking about a gauge for each bike and then to wire in a switch to turn on fan when desired.

I thought of that, but we rode pretty close, “he can out do me though he’s 14 and light” but I’m about 240# and figured my machine was working harder. Going to get a hand held temp laser and see what’s happening. Will probably go ahead and order those 3/4 gauges though! New Mexico gets pretty hot in the summer.

I am a bigger guy around 280# and ride my 08 raptor pretty hard, if you do narrow trails like I mostly I highly encourage the early on fan kit, it's a pretty easy install too which is nice. MrCuervo was a huge help to me when I rebuilt the engine on my raptor he seems to care about what he sells and helps those who support him which I definitely needed.

I run a stock fan, but my fan comes on at 200*. I have a temp gauge/radiator cap and when the fan does come on the temp in the radiator drops about 40* in a few seconds. Only time I get worried is in a mud race when the radiator gets alot of mud in it and blocks airflow. The early on fan kit sold by Cuervo is dead on. I measured it with an infrared thermometer and it kicked on at 200*.

Thanks for all the input, I think I’ll put another order into the doc for the early on kits!
Anybody running an inline gauge with the kit?

I also have a Vapor, and it's temp sensor is mounted in about the same place as the temp gage would go.
There is enough room in upper hose.

Cuervo thermostat towards rear, Vapor thermostat in front.

They look good together.
I have that same funk green bastid you do, lol. Only mine is almost solid black now.
I swapped the tank cover, hood, and rear fenders with black Maiers already...and fronts are now on their way!

Hi Sixpack577,

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it.
However I wanna ask do you really think the inline coolers are worth it?

And can you please link me up with the Mishimoto Radiator thread, I can't find them anywhere, I have a 2016 Raptor 700, do you need to do alot of modifications to make it fit?

Thank you

And may I ask is this the model you got for the Mishimoto Radiator for your Rapator 700, I saw your other threads, you have a great setup!!.

The only Mishimoto radiator I found was for a 2006-2012 raptor 700 with this serial number MMPS-YFM700R-06. Is that the one you bought for your 2020 Raptor 700 or is there a different one?

And can you please share the link or the website you got it from as I can see that they are all out of stock.

Thank you again, I really appreciate the help!
